New York Recuperates From Hurricane Irene

New York was not so unlucky so as to have to bear the full brunt of Hurricane Irene. However, the bit that went to the share of New York was enough to have Irene sweep through the empty streets of New York, leading to flooding in low-lying regions and making millions of households spend the day without power.
The denizens of New York too have to face difficulties in the attempts at commute, especially the suburban parts of New York, where fallen trees and strewn wires led to problems-a-plenty.
Reaching New York too was a chore in itself, with one having to resort to the unusual modes of transport, which would be taking ferries, commuter vans or hiking, even impromptu car pooling was an option one was forced to employ.

New York Yankees Is Counting on Jesus Montero

This time Jesus Montero, the top New York Yankees prospect is finally making his way to the big leagues from the minor league system and he will be joining the New York Yankees at the Fenway Park in Boston. The call-up for Montero was quite evident.
The call up for Montero for the big leagues was the centre discussion throughout the season and finally New York Yankees have brought the 21 year old prospect to the major league. The call-up for Montero was quite evident as New York Yankees have lost their slugger Alex Rodriguez for at least six weeks due to his knee injury.
Jesus Montero is hitting .290 along with 18 home runs and 67 RBI's for the New York Yankees Triple A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In past seven matches he has hit 5 home runs, even after a slow start Montero has had 40 RBI's since 1st July.

Mr. and Mrs. Kardashian have returned to New York City after enjoying a brief honeymoon in Italy. New York City is where the newlyweds plan to settle down on a temporary basis in a posh penthouse at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel. As of now, Kim Kardashian and her basketball player hubby are staying at a plush hotel of Madison Square Park. The sexy reality star along with her sister, Kourtney is busy shooting for the second season of 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York', one of the many reality shows of the Kardashian Clan.
